Be part of the WCIB float at the Lord Mayor’s Show
One of London's oldest and most celebrated traditions

The Lord Mayor's Show 2026
The Lord Mayor's Show will take place in the City on Saturday 14 November 2026. The WCIB will participate with a float and invites members to join the procession, either aboard our open top bus, or walking alongside it.
We have approx. 35 places available for members. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome to take part and will receive a special WCIB bow tie for the occasion.
To cover the costs of participation, each attendee will be asked to contribute £150.
The route is approximately 1.2 miles in each direction, and all those taking part on our float will be provided with WCIB tabards to wear. We will also require several participants to help carry the Company's floating globe.
If you would like to be part in this year's Lord Mayor's Show, please reply to clerk@internationalbankers.co.uk by midday on Tuesday 20 October.
If you would prefer to ride on the bus rather than walk, or if you would like to bring a dog, please indicate this in your response. Should the number of expressions of interest exceed the places available, a ballot will be held. All applicants will be informed of the outcome by Thursday 22 October.
The approximate timings for the day are 9.30am to 3.00pm, with a break for lunch. This will be at Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese on Fleet Street and the cost is included in the participation fee.
The Lord Mayor's Show is one of London's oldest and most celebrated traditions, in which the newly elected Lord Mayor travels in the State Coach from Mansion House to the Royal Courts of Justice and back. Along the route, the procession is accompanied by a vibrant array of floats, bands and walkers. Further information about the Lord Mayor's Show can be found at: https://www.lordmayorsshow.london/
We hope you will be able to join us for what promises to be a memorable and enjoyable occasion, and a unique opportunity to participate in one of the City's longest-standing traditions.
PS: Those who were 'Platinum' donors to our Lord Mayor's fund appeal are entitled to a free place on the float and so do not need to reserve a place.
