“The Master at Work” - An evening of soulful House music

I would be delighted if you could join me for an evening of soulful House music on Tuesday 20 October at The 1 Bar, 18 Appold Street.

My love of House music began in the late 1990s while I was working as the external auditor to the legendary Ministry of Sound. During that time I had the privilege of meeting many of the world’s greatest DJs, including the late Frankie Knuckles – the “Godfather of House Music” – whose pioneering work in Chicago helped shape the genre and whose encouragement inspired my own passion for DJing.

Over the years I have played at a variety of venues in London and beyond. I founded Decks and the City, a Shoreditch club night that showcased City professionals with a hidden passion for House music, and have held residencies at Boxpark Wembley, McQueen and South Place Hotel. I’ve also had the pleasure of playing at venues including Hotel Costes in Paris, 25hours Hotel Zurich and Tausend Berlin.

Whether you’re a lifelong House music fan or simply looking for a relaxed evening with good music and great company, I’d love to see you there. Please feel free to bring friends or colleagues who are curious about the Worshipful Company of International Bankers and might be interested in becoming part of our community.
