This event chaired by Liveryman Guy Saxton, held jointly with the Engineers Livery Company, explored the strategic significance of the space industry, its technical maturity, investment horizons and risks. Space technology is fundamental to all aspects of everyday life, from weather forescasting, remote sensing, GPS and broadcasting, to everyday applications in electronics, telecommunications and gaming to hospitals, traffic lights and even white goods.  We brought together a panel of UK experts to present the opportunities and challenges to the UK manufacturing base, supply chains and the economy.
