Apply to become a Court Assistant

Appointment to the Court is based on merit, commitment and the needs of the Company. The Court will normally expect candidates to demonstrate evidence of the following attributes and contributions when considering applications for election as a Court Assistant.

Active engagement with the Company – A sustained record of participation in the life of the Company, including regular attendance at Livery and social events, demonstrating commitment to its aims and fellowship.

Contribution through Committees and governance – Active participation in one or more Company Committees, with the willingness and capability to take on increasing responsibility, including the potential to serve as a Committee Chair.

Support for the Company's charitable and educational objectives – A demonstrated commitment to the Company's charitable activities, for example through donations to the charitable trust, mentoring, supporting the schools essay competition, participating in charitable initiatives, or contributing professional skills for the public benefit.

Professional expertise and strategic contribution – The ability to bring relevant experience, knowledge and judgement from banking, financial services or related professions, contributing constructively to the governance, strategic direction and reputation of the Company.
‍
Leadership potential and commitment to future service – The willingness and capability to undertake the responsibilities of senior office over time, including progression through the Court with the potential to serve ultimately as Master, subject to election by the Court.
